The members of Severn Counties surprised Chairman, Fred Smith at the Open Meeting on the 15th December with a celebration of his 70th birthday. Fred's actual birthday is on the 26th December, Boxing Day so it was an early celebration of the day but gave the members the opportunity to show their appreciation of his hard work for the society.
At the AGM held 19th January Margaret Eslick was presented with a Meritorious Award for ‘Consistent Support to the Society’. At the same time Nigel Smith also received a Meritorious award for ‘The Breeding & Exhibition of the Zebra Finch.(photo to follow)
